Managing Esthetician Course

The Esthetician course is a course designed to enable you to learn: skin care, facials, makeup, nutrition, use of facial machines, safety and sanitation. As a manager, you will have the knowledge to be a salon manager or owner. As an esthetician, you can specialize in facials, make-up, or depilatory. You can become a sales representative, platform artist, teacher or anything in many areas of cosmetics.

State Requirements (License)

The state exam consists of practical skills and a written test on the theory of esthetics. The applicant must be accompanied by a model for this exam.

Plus:

  1. An tenth grade education or equivalent.
  2. 750 hours in a State approved school.
  3. Applicant must provide:
    1. An education statement (A1) or a diploma
    2. 1 picture (2½ X 3½), recent portrait type
    3. Money order or check for $39.00 for the exam and work permit

Esthetician Graduation Requirements to Receive a Diploma

  1. Completed the states’ hour requirement.
  2. Completed the class portion with a:
    • Practical: C or better
    • Written: 80 or better
  3. Completed clinic requirements
  4. All tuition or obligations paid in full, or arrangements have been made.
