Manicurist Course

We no longer offer the Manager portion of the Manicuring Course.

The manicuring course will give the students the knowledge to work in a licensed Beauty Salon or Nail Salon in the area of manicuring, hand and arm massage, pedicures, or artificial nails.

State Requirements (License)

The state exam consists of practical skills and a written test on the theory of manicuring. The applicant must be accompanied by a model for this exam.

Plus:

  1. 10th grade education or equivalent
  2. 200 hours in a State Approved school.
  3. Applicant must provide:
    1. An education statement (A1) or a diploma
    2. 1 Picture (2½ X 3½), must be recent, portrait type
    3. Money order or check for $39.00

Manicuring Graduation Requirement to Receive Diploma

  1. Complete state requirements for hours
  2. Completed senior requirements
  3. Completed class work with
    • Practical: a C or better
    • Written: 80 or better
  4. All tuition or obligations are paid in full, or arrangements have been made.
